I wish I could say that I was always booked solid or had even a relatively full calendar of booked sessions but that isn’t all ways the case. Especially now while so many of us are quarantined or struggling financially. So how do I keep myself busy and keep my skills fresh? I take photos of my kids. Lots and lots of photos of my kids. But I mean, doesn’t everybody?
A year or two ago I got my kids into brand repping and found that it was a win win for me. Aside from the obvious benefits- supporting small shops, cute, unique clothes at a discount, new friends and community- it has given me a purpose with my photography for when the business is a little slow. I still have a reason to pick up my camera every day and an outlet to be creative. It’s also enabled me to try new locations, editing styles and to overall become a better photographer.
I might share some of our brand repping photos on here from time to time because I am just as proud of my work there as I am of my professional sessions. I hope you enjoy it too.
